You Have A Logo - How About A Slogan?
Do you have a business slogan or tagline? Business owners often spend a lot of time and effort on logos and business cards. But you can make your logo do double duty as part of your business branding, if you have an effective slogan to complement it. A slogan needs to be short, clear and effective. It’s not a mission statement, although it can double as one.
Nike’s slogan is Just Do It. Mommy Revenue, a home business site for work at home moms, expands on the business slogan concept.
Wouldn’t it be great if your slogan became a catch phrase? If it’s too long, it won’t be a catch phrase. It also needs to fit neatly under your logo for marketing and business branding purposes.
Will it still work if your business expands or changes direction? Of course, you can always change the logo or slogan, and rebrand. But something as seemingly simple as a business slogan can reinforce your business brand in marketing and in business communication.
Think of your slogan or tagline as a marketing tool, just as Nike has. Don’t have a business slogan yet? Just do it!

I don’t have a logo as yet. I designed a favicon a few days ago. I am thinking about extending it to a logo.

Hi Sham
That sounds like a great idea!
Many people forget about the visual power of favicons. It also fits right in with the concept of reinforcing your business branding in as many ways as you can.
I look forward to hearing about your progress with this. All the best.
