Do You Have A Child Centered Home Business? Partnering Opportunities With Likeminded Businesses
As it’s Family Month here at Home Biz Notes, we’re also highlighting child centered businesses, or businesses which cater at least, in part to families and children.
How can you raise your home business profile in the community?
Small businesses can share the load and increase the impact by partnering with other businesses.
If you had a children’s birthday party business, you could partner with a costume store, a hairdresser, a fairy store, a bookstore, a magician and so on to come up with combined services and packages, or to stage a combined event.
One thing I talked over with my local library when I owned a bookstore, was to provide bags for parents of all new born babies at our local hospital.
Bags were to include brochures about books and reading to children, products and a book. This approach is a community service and great for participating businesses and organizations.
Imagine if this basic partnering concept was spread further.
- Which businesses could you partner with?
- What community events could you leverage?
- Can you invent your own community event e.g. Town X Annual Family Day or Children’s Day?
- Can you tie it in with an existing community or national event?
Think of all the businesses (not just home businesses) who provide services and products to children and families.
