Smiles & Thank You’s - The Low Tech Way To Positive Business Connections
Elegant Simplicity In A Sped Up World
Jennifer Hofmann at My Organized Biz challenged us to write about “elegant simplicity in a sped up world.”
Smile
What better way to connect with people than with a genuine smile. It seems cheesy to suggest something so basic, but how many times do you get a genuine smile in your day? Not often, right?
A smile can make customers and people you deal with feel
- welcomed
- comfortable
- at ease
Smiling can benefit you too
It’s been shown that smiling before and during a phone call is conveyed in your voice and tone. On a personal level, smiling can make you feel positive and calm. If your smile bubbles over and your sense of humor kicks in, that’s good too… and fun.
The Art Of Saying Thank You
If a smile puts you in a good frame of mind, you may want to go a step further with another low tech approach to people and business connections - the art of saying thank you - the handwritten thank you note or a personal face to face thank you.
Low tech is not necessarily old fashioned. It’s just more personal.
