Today’s productivity tips come from Emma Jones, who runs the home business website Enterprise Nation and is the author of an upcoming book -Spare Room Start Up.
Emma says
Top Productivity Tip - Know Yourself
My top tip on productivity is to know yourself; most importantly, to know your own working style. For me, mornings are the best time for writing site content, or chapters for my new book. It’s a time of day when I feel fresh, with a clear head, and can work without interruption from emails and calls!
After 6pm I turn to the admin ‘to do’ list as it requires less concentration. It also means that I can work on my least favourite task (doing the accounts) with a glass of wine to get me through!
Productivity Tool - Productivity With Clients - Try Basecamp
As for productivity with clients, I’m a big fan of Basecamp. This application allows me to invite clients to view the progress we’re making on projects which cuts down on the number of times we have to meet. Less time on the road traveling to meetings means more time working productively in the home office.
