Once you’ve got a niche, think about your target audience. Who do you expect to read your blog? Fellow students? Other work-from-home-parents? Baby Boomers? People learning a hobby you’re a pro at?
When you compose your blog posts, keep your target audience in mind. Try to give them value and write about topics that will keep them coming back for more (and telling their friends about your blog, too.)
Ideally you’ll enjoy writing about what others value reading. Think of your blog as a magazine where you’re writing great articles to attract readers, which will in turn attract advertisers who want to buy space next to those articles, because your audience is the same as their target audience.
